The Challenge: Provide copy for an About Page for the Kensington Cat & Dog Home, which promotes the work that they do and includes a donation button and a call-to-action. Also provide copy for a pop-up prompting visitors to sign-up for the Kensington Cat & Dog Home newsletter.
The Desired Outcome: Sign-up to become a monthly donor. Sign-up to become a subscriber of the Kensington Cat & Dog Home newsletter.
Brand Tone: Empathetic, supportive, caring
The Solution: In this About Page, I placed a great deal of importance on the direct impact that donations will have to pets in need. Supporters of the Kensington Cat & Dog Home are already an empathetic audience, so I was purposeful about showcasing the actionable steps that are in place to support the Home’s mission.
Donors will feel compelled to save animals in need, no matter the circumstances, but my strategy captures the tangible value of donations through showcasing specific services that funds provide.
I was also mindful of articulating what sets the Home apart from other rescues, namely its commitment to giving animals a place to live for the rest of their lives, should they need it.
The pop-up prompts page visitors to sign up for the Home’s newsletter. The photo will change each month to showcase a different pet who is up for adoption.
